Cont'd...June Dudley
Dudley grew up on a 4,000 acre ranch in central Texas that has been in her family for over 100 years. As an adult she had taught Art & Math for 18 years when she & her husband Richard moved back to the family ranch. At that time she was able to pursue her passion for art as a full time endeavor.

The major influence in Dudley's artistic life was Bob Wygant whom she met at the Houston Stock Show while she was still teaching school. Wygant was judging the art show at the Stock Show & after seeing her work he invited her to participate in one of his workshops. That began what was to become a long & supportive relationship that opened many doors in the art world for her.

Dudley's paintings have been on the covers of Rocky Mountain Rider & Longhorn Drover magazines as well as the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo's School Art program cover for 2007. The Big Bear Cowboy Gathering in California featured June's "Say What?" painting as their poster art & theme for their 2007 show. She was the recipient of the coveted John Steven Jones $5000 Award as well as Best of Show & People's Choice from the Bosque Conservatory of Fine Art, Clifton, TX, two time winner of the Best of the West's Landscape Award, the Grumbacher Award, the Gold Award at the Texas Rangers' Hall of Fame, Waco, TX and many others. Dudley is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and serves on the School Art's Judges Steering Committee.
Major shows include the prestigious Peppertree Show in the Santa Ynez Valley of California, Arizona's Best of the West, the American Art Classic, the Mountain Oyster Show, Round-Up in Texas, & the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Galleries include her own studio in College Station, TX, Midland Gallery, Midland, TX, Fredericksburg Art Gallery, Fredericksburg, TX and Diamond West Gallery in Pinetop, Arizona. At the Best of the West Show at Pinetop she won the "Popular Choice Award" in 2006.
Rarely does an artist's work evoke such a sense of peace & calm as June Dudley is able to do painting this land that she loves so dearly. Dudley considers it her job to fulfill God's purpose in her life by using this wonderful talent.
