  Hedge works in oils doing what he calls "real paintings". He has traveled extensively and lived in  Arizona & Colorado, as well as Texas. His detailed wildlife paintings present the American wolf in eerie reality and his eagles are truly breathtaking. The luminous depth of color produces paintings of the American southwest that truly does show off God's best work.
